I moved to Abbotsford a few years ago, and my favorite place in the area...? The one where I take everyone I know when they come to visit...? Old Clayburn Village, of course! It's natural, unsullied charm sets it apart from any place I have seen in Vancouver area. It is a gem and should be preserved--just the way it is. Support Old Clayburn Village and its residents! Do not allow it to be ruined just to make a few bucks.

As a long time supporter & customer of the Clayburn Village and Village Store Tea Shop, I am asking you to stop this madness, rape & pillage of one of the most beautiful, quaint, milestone heritage areas within Fraser Valley, Vancouver & internationally. People come from all over the world to experience this pristine heritage village all throughout the year. The never ending list of customers to this area partake of the astounding experience @ the Clayburn Village & take back the joy & memories with them to share with other people who would be future supporters. Among the highlights are Bryan & Trish Haber's store & tea shop. The loving & passionate energy extended to restore this venue for ALL public is a historic monument in itself. After loosing my family, it was their professionalism & genuine family attitude towards their customers that kept me coming back & uplifted in a difficult time of my life. They are like my family now & the village feels like home. You will be aware that their store & the village draw people from ALL OVER THE WORLD to witness this one of a kind experience. This is truly one of the biggest draws to the Abbotsford area. Also, the movie making industry brings thousands of dollars & advertising to the Abbotsford area which would be lost forever it City Council members were swayed by dishonorable & political means to take away the heritage category of Clayburn Village to appease the rape/pillage & future enslot of developers who have no roots, commitment or empathy towards honorable, hardworking community people who have committed their lives to making Clayburn Village what is is today so that EVERYONE can benefit monetarily & spiritually. The
Village commitment, by the way, shines a spotlight directly on you as a council & your attitude & responsibility to these people first & foremost before attempts that any outsider may have for political money deals. THE WORLD IS WATCHING YOU NOW! Those that have put their heart, soul, money & expertise in making this incredible village
a place of renown will continue their labor's with honor & integrity! Will you as council support them? I ask you to, I hope you do, & I pray you will~THE WORLD IS WATCHING ~

I understand that BC is "only" 150 years old. The Clayburn Village is a historical site that needs to be preserved and not just developed. Do not allow that development on Clayburn Road.

Please do not let this, or any other developer build on this site. Greed and money is not a reason to ruin this historic site.

It would be a real shame after all the work that the residents of Clayburn have put into their community to preserve the heritage would be ruined by a developer that waltzes in and petitions council to have the heritage designation changed to fit their agenda. Much the same as the ruination of Fort Langley once the developers got a hold of the land just off of Glover Road.

Can we not preserve anything in this city, does it always have to come down to the money,
when will the greed stop, the attitude is if it's old knock it down. Save the Preserve Historic Clayburn Village, est 1905! It's history for god's sake.

I support the Clayburn Village Heritage Conservation Area, established in 1996, to preserve and protect the historic village of Clayburn, BC's first Company Town, established in 1905. I DO NOT SUPPORT the application of the subdivision of 34776 Clayburn Road."

This plan seriously alters the look, feel and atmosphere of the Clayburn Village. The planned home is much too large to be appropriate. It would be a serious mistake to allow this to be built.

Please maintain the heritage of Clayburn Village. Our Canadian history is a risk of being replaced by shiny and new. We need to treasure the past we have to show where we have come from. Our local history and awareness of the flood plain consequences must not be brushed aside.

I oppose developers the right to subdivide within the Clayburn Village Heritage Conservation area. It would be a travesty to see this development happen. It would ruin the ambiance of this unique, charming village which so many of us love and appreciate.

My kids and I enjoy going down the Clayburn Village to visit the stores and to teach them some of our local history. Subdividing the area will ruin this experience for our family and many more. Please do not consider changing the village in any way. Keep Clayburn Village as it is!

As a resident of Clayburn village I am very much AGAINST the development proprosal at 34776 Clayburn Road for so many reasons!!!
The CVCS has been advocating and protecting this very important heritage conservation area for over 30 years and it is disgraceful and WRONG that it has to protect it from the City of Abbotsford at this time.

I oppose the subdivision of 34776 Clayburn Rd. We must protect Clayburn, BC’s 1st company town, from profit seeking developers who falsely claim they have an interest in Clayburn’s heritage.
